New Momma on the block.

We have a new momma on the block and the girls couldn't be more excited about watching her.

We have seen the eggs and now.....

We have babies. I hope they make it. Only two of the four eggs have hatched but we will wait and see if the rest hatch also.

Good luck momma bird.

I'm out of hiding.....

My first couple of posts I kept from everyone but my folks. Just had to dip my feet in the water first then last night I came out of hiding. Told the family and friends about the blog. Then they passed it on to others so I guess I'm doing this now. ~excited giggle~

Don't have much planned for today. Last night had a BBQ with Peggy, Pride and kids, Uncle Sam, Aunt Frankie, her friend Sue, Aunt Sis, Jim and Ganey, and our family at the Crable compound and really enjoyed ourselves.

Still trying to get the (expletive) laundry done. Ehhh it'll happen someday. Although it is getting a little ridiculous.

Father in law and brother in law are driving up to Iowa today to pick up a new to him Suburban to pull the airstream and boat this summer. A happy little bonus to us since it's newer than the one he has now and the new one has a 3rd row seat. whoot whoot. Pretty exciting.

Well until next time here's your cute faces of the day.

This and That.....

We've been sick around here. Some of us handle it better than others. Sadie caught the worst of it and it shows. She is much better now.

Sophie gets her tongue thing and I didn't know it was humanly possible to have to blow your nose so much. We are all on the upswing of things now.

The girls and I have been hanging out outside most of the days lately and enjoy what mother nature has to give. I see Sophie just swinging and looking around for all she can see and whats new. It's just a treat to get to watch the world through her eyes.

We had a Japanese food night which even "the picky ones" liked. I made Shumai, Potstickers, Udon noodles, spring rolls and edamame. I also got some Mochi for dessert. For the record NO ONE ate a whole one. They are nasty nasty nasty. Everone enjoyed the thrill of eating with chopsticks too.

Mollie stopped by with her dad the other day and the girls, with their matching hair, had a blast on the tree swing.

I am getting ready for a garage sale and I can't get anything done but Grandma Kath is coming on friday and we should be able to rock and roll then.

That wraps up everthing we've been doing lately. Sometimes when it all seems too much to handle all you have to do enjoy a warm sunbeam.

Rain

I need it to rain for just 1 day. I can't get anything done inside because it's too nice outside. When it's nap time I can't or don't clean because thats my down time. This would all work out fine if friends and family just stayed outside but they eventually have to use the facilities. I guess I could send them next door. Ha ha.

Anyway my big concern today is that my male cat Floyd has a big bump under his right eye that has closed his eye a bit. He now has some whiteish colored leakage from his right nostril. It apparently is tender because his hind foot comes up to say "hey yo that doesn't feel great lady" Got a call into the vet to come check him out.

Not a great picture but it was all he was in the mood for this morning.

Spring

So spring has officially sprung and I couldn't be happier. The girls and I have played outside everyday since Wednesday when Jim had his first vacation day. I have to say this beautiful weather isn't helping on the inside chores since I hate to waste a day inside when we could be outside playing. Sadie isn't the biggest fan yet but she's getting there. Sophie wakes up in the morning and says "I wanna go ow-side." I have just started letting her go outside in the backyard only to swing by herself as long as I can see her. The girl LOVES to swing. I love to look out the kitchen window and see her laid back on her swing white knuckle gripped on the plastic covered chains of her swing, eyes closed just swinging. God only knows what she's thinking when she does this but to me childhood doesn't get better than that.

The boys are starting baseball season again. So far two games have been played won the first lost the second to some pitching errors otherwise would have tied it.

Last night Grandpa Jim took the girls for a wagon ride. They love to ride in the wagon. So my Jim and I took advantage and hoped in the hot tub for a quick soak while childless. When they came back we got out and everyone sat on the screened in back porch and watched some goofy movie dad picked. Sophie would skip from one side of the porch to the other getting salted peanuts in the shell and bring them to the chair near me. 10 minutes later when she finally peeled the peanut half of it would fall to the ground and you'd hear " my peanut go?" all that work for nothing. Then as if nothing had happened off she'd go for another. It was one of those moments I'll remember when she's grown. I told big and little Jim that it was a moment I'd think of when she started to date to which Jim replied " she won't date" with a gleam in his eye. I seriously wonder how tough the boys and dad will be with there little girls when they do want to date. Those boys better be top notch. For now we will enjoy the little things with our heads back sun in our face and wind blowing through our hair.

Here we go...

I am going to give this a shot and see if it takes off. I am a stay at home mom who in my ideal dreamworld would be a mom, cook extravagant meals, bake , and suplement our income by selling crafts I make. In reality I can barely get the laundry put away usually make the same dinners over and over and NEVER get to craft. The way I see it the kids won't be young forever so better live in the moment and enjoy. My husband works so I can stay home to take care of the girls and the boys when they are here. We live in the house my husband grew up from 12 years on and my in laws live right next door. My parents live in Florida so there are lots of trips to the Mouse. We have a lot of friends and family close by and that's how we like it. This blog will be mainly to keep our friends and family connected and let everyone enjoy what we enjoy. So with that said here we go....
